Inside the Woodward Cave are five large rooms carved out of the stone. People can walk through the cave with tour guides. The trips are offered daily from April 1 until September 30, and by appointment in March and October. Visitors should wear proper footwear for the 50 minute tour and warmer clothing because the caves remains at a constant temperature of 48F (9C) all year round. Underground passageways and rooms formed out of limestone make up the Indian Caverns in Spruce Creek. Native American artifacts and skeletons dating back more than 400 years were found inside the hidden tunnels in the 1920s. Today, tours of the caverns are offered daily from May to October.
