Over a century old, the Somerset County Courthouse is one of the town's historic buildings and offers guided tours. The building showcases Georgian and Italian marble, a copper dome with stained-glass rotunda and contents dating to 1795.

Operated by the Meyersdale Historical Society, the Meyersdale Station was part of the Western Maryland Railway's Great Allegheny Passage and now serves as the trail head of the Allegheny Highlands Trail. Today the station is open on weekend afternoons from May through October and, hiking or not, visitors can peruse the historic exhibitions throughout the station.
