    Somerset Historical Center

    The Somerset Historical Center provides visitors with information about Somerset County's rural heritage through indoor and outdoor exhibits and workshops. The seasonal outdoor exhibits, open from April to November each year, feature a 1773 farmstead, an 1860s sugar camp and an 1890s cider press.

    Baker Mansion

    Guided tour of this 1849 Greek Revival ironmaster's home, now headquarters of Blair County Historical Society, feature period rooms and historic exhibits. Open 1 - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday thru Sunday, Memorial Day to Labor Day; weekends in Spring and Fall.

    Frank & Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center

    Offering free entrance with paid admission to the nearby Johnstown Flood Museum, this interactive discovery center presents the story of European immigrants in the mills and mines of 19th century Johnstown. Various temporary exhibits relating to Johnstown's past can be found in the gallery upstairs.

    Fort Roberdeau Historic Site and Natural Area

    Fort Roberdeau was built to protect the iron mining operations in central Pennsylvania during the War of Independence. The Fort has been reconstructed over a 45 acre site where visitors can visit a 19th century farmhouse, a visitors' center, a gift shop and other educational and historic structures.

    Addison Toll House

    The Addison Toll House stood on the National Road, the first national interstate, since 1835. Made from hand-cut stone, the house provided accommodations for the toll collector and his family. Today visitors can tour the premises, which contain many period furnishings and the records of the tolls collected in 1841.

    Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site

    This historic site, operated by the National Park Service, commemorates the first railroad to be constructed over the Allegheny Mountains. The site is spread out over 1249 acres and features a visitor center, picnic areas and hiking trails, interpretive exhibits and more.

    Old Bedford Village

    This living history village features 19th century log buildings, colonial era crafts and exhibits, military and civilian re-enactments and more.
